That's my thinking.Surely a failed weld or joint?
I'll get some when it's off.6mm steel plate sheared in half? Crikey, have you got any pictures?
I'll get some when it's off.
It's a bit of a shit design on my half. The plate needed quite a big cut out / window to clear a casting web on the block. I should have gusset plated it really but didn't.
So the surface area of the plate is 6mm thick, but across a part of the mount it's only a maybe 2cm wide either side of the window.
One end was gusset plated but the other end wasn't. And that's the end that gave way.![]()
Fair enough. Makes me more comfortable because I want to use smaller gauge steel for mine haha. I am sure you will soon have it sorted. Put it down to Research and Development..
Can see that the hoover, hoovered them this time
There are more , but you get the idea!
I havent no but you'll probably find the drive components inside will be missing.
In my head I’d just be swapping the casings and using the speedo gear, I’m sure the provisions would be there to run it on the stronger boxes internals. (the same way the 225 conversion can be done by block swapping the f4r to retain the 5 speed box if that makes sense?)
Yeah, it’s not happening anywhere else.odd on the pics thing, @andybond ?
looking forward to updates on this though, what clutch are you going for?
It will require a cut out in the left side chassis rail. Subframe doesn't need modification.Hello,
i would like to swap my Megane coupé trackcar with F4RT 776 from Scenic.
You projet is quite nice, can you give a little update on your progress?
I would like to put the F4r 776 + ND0 in the Megane shell, does it requires subframe or frame modifications?
Thanks a lot.
