Marks RX7 - lets break a rotary.

I’ve started to strip the engine bay to remove engine but before I do I need my friend Mark to come and measure up for new loom.

Meanwhile I’ve bought a few more little things.

An additional 3 port MAC valve as will run two for boost control. 2 x 3D printed MAC valve brackets. 2 x Syvecs switches to move between various MAP settings when tuned and a 3D printed dash bracket for the Syvecs D4 dash for when I can afford one.

To help keep the costs down a tad before I move to a more modern turbo I’ve decided to keep the HX50 turbo but I’ve sent it off to USA to have the compressor wheel changed from a 67mm to a 76mm meaning I’ll have a sizeable 77/86 with approx 1.3 AR for all the turbine flow. I’d guess capable of 800 on a rotary.

Next step get Mark started on loom, it’s very substantial compared to current loom, this is probably my biggest hurdle.

I then need to invest in a new ignition system - going to use M&W set up.

I’m waiting on an extremely swanky sump from Winchester - it’s custom made and still waiting for him to start fabrication.

Then I need to find a capable fabricator to make me an upper inlet - this is the inspiration.

After 40 days in customs and a £300 bill the turbo finally arrived.

The loom will be started next week with any luck. Still waiting on custom sump, it’s been 4 months now but I’m led to believe it won’t be too much longer.

The lower inlet manifold has been amended slightly to allow a bit more clearance.

I’ve started purchasing the water/meth kit and slightly larger injectors. Awaiting delivery from Aus.
Will look something like this but won’t be using push fit lines.
