Marks RX7 - lets break a rotary.

So things have escalated slightly. Just bought a Syvecs S8, going to get rid of the Link. Syvecs with new loom means I can get the Aussie tuner genius to sort proper knock and WMI strategies.

The new semi pp engine will be ready quicker than I thought, likely end of Oct, will share some pictures as it gets built. The plan is a large street port semi PP with some extra bells and whistles here and there.

I’m also going to change the exhaust manifold so I can run a G45 1350, manifold needs to be moved forward a tad for it to fit.
Sorry i'm loosing interest now, as it sounds like there won't be any more engine failures once this lot gets fitted :aggressive.gif:😂😂😂
 
I’ve been busy.

I’ve purchased the lower inlet needed for my semi PP build from Billet Rotary in AUS along with a full DBW kit too from another AUS outfit.

Next up in a Winchester sump from USA - it’s a thing of beauty, I’ll post some pics when it arrives.

I’ve also gone ahead and ordered a new 36-1 trigger wheel kit from Fusion Engineering, also in US.

OE water pump and thermostat also purchased along with gaskets etc.

The Syvecs s8 should arrive this week after which I need to spend a chunk of change in new sensors. Knock, EGT, MAP etc. The tuner is very specific with the type of sensors to use.

To keep costs down somewhat I’ve found an American turbo company who can change my Holset 67/87 to a 77/87 keeping the 25cm turbine housing which is somewhere in the region of 1.25 to 1.35 A/R.

This means I can keep existing manifold, down pipe and wastegate set up. Turbo should be good for 800hp, I hope.

Will keep you updated with pictures etc as the engine gets built and the goods arrive.
 
ECU has arrived from AUS. Very slick looking module.

Water pump arrived from Japan also with the OEM knock sensors to follow. I had a credit note from RHD Japan site which I’ve now obliterated.

I’ve been sourcing sensors today, I’ve been told to use KA sensors and seems there is a chunky lead time but think I have the ones I need.

More bits to follow. Used Scoff for the Syvecs connector and pins.
 
Winter build bits are arriving from Aus, UK and Japan.

The car is getting its fuel system done this week.

Trigger wheel kit to move to a single OE sensor.

NTK style 02 sensor, EGT probes and OE knock sensors. My KA sensors arrived also from EPS Motorsport for MAP.

I’m expecting the DBW kit and lower inlet manifold from Aus this week also, pics to follow.
