George lent a helping hand, washed, dried off and Bouncers Done & Dusted si addition applied (well worth the money.. offering better gloss and longer durability than most quick detailers)
Said to Lucy today... It's going nowhere....my kids love it, so it's staying... Nearly sorted out the issue with my neighbour and Persimmon Homes on my driveway, so soon I can convert my car barn to s garage
So at the beginning of lockdown the carcoon let me down and the motors gave up... Annoying... But you can buy new from Carcoon... A few quid later and replacement motor and filters where ordered.... Then Boris announced lockdown and the factory had to close...
So I have had my Renault in the carport...not covered... It was gathering dust so today I pre washed the car twice, washed, blown dried and reapplied some wax...hopefully soon I can replace the motors in the carcoon.. will then polish the 5 and coat it to give it some longer term protection.
Here is a video of the front end being blown dry.... No water runs for me... Dries the ph1 grill in seconds.
Dust and dirt can become trapped in the long, absorbent fibres of drying cloths and can cause scratches when the towel is rubbed over the paint.

They do a bigger unit... Mine is portable for back of the van (dries a whole though)... But the more powerful machines will do it quicker..... Oh and o get 10% trade discount
Sooooooo I have received this message from a good friend would works with his end cars.... A client/friend of his is after a 5 GTT...mine was mentioned...
The client has "He’s a genuine buyer, has a Countach, mk1 Mini Cooper S, E30 group A car, various 911s. Have a think on a cash figure and let me know."...
So he is a serious collector, he knows the 5 needs a service and ideally new tyres all round (nothing major really)...
That being said, what do you guys honestly think it's worth??
Its worth is very subjective. The rarity of the ph1 , its condition would drive the value of the car up in my opinion. The real worth is that once the car is gone you are unlikely to ever be able to replace it with another as good, or rare. How much is that worth to you?
Mr Bond has hit the nail on the head with what is it worth to you .
It’s a Rare little beast and you would have to go far and wide to find another , especially RHD. 20 -25k , would be fair I think . If you know where it’s going may sway your decision to sell and for what price , and what you have in the pipeline.
It's got to be up near £20k. But - same as me with the Vee - although the cash in the bank is a tempting prospect, you'll likely never be able to get another like it.
