Loltus Exige

Bugger, not a quick job to replace, assume same joys as a vx220 with seat out and above acees with small mod to hatch or drop tank. Failed fully or not handling load?

Option to use oem as pickup pump and get a nice swirl pot and man pump in engine bay?

Yeah, not a fun job.
It’s failed full stop mate. Nada, nothing , zilch. Let it cool for a bit then possibly work for a second or two but not really enough to keep it going.
It has a Gucci pump in it at the mo. Will let RSTuning do the diagnostics and then work from there

Intertia switch is good and I checked the fuses.
Was running at WOT, then the car died at idle. Then wouldn’t start...

Gutted for you buddy..
Is this the time to wire and plumb
an inline bosch 044 and not even worry about the tank one..?
I have a 6month old 350mi new pump in. Just going to validate it’s not wiring first then return the pump if not and replace.
If I had of been out of warranty I would have opted for a external pump option I think .

We appear to be back in the game.

The MFRU was causing funnies. Specky @RSTuning was looking at fuel pump voltages and it was " all over " and then sometimes not enough to even switch the relay on for the fuel pump.

Some brief investigation followed and we worked out its the MRFU thats at fault. Look at the symptoms ;

Fuel pump mostly failing
Lambda sensor not reporting correctly

Two of the three things the MFRU is responsible for ..

Investigation has led to corrosion and decidedly second hand wiring in that neck of the woods and its been tidied up ( for now ) to get it running, mapped , circuit ready for BH Monday @ Anglesey. Ill do the usual throw some cash at the issue over winter to properly inspect everything.

I also suspect as the fuel pump voltage was all over it might explain the drop in power initially.

Roll on the mapping!

Big thanks to Spitfire ( Gaz ) for being super fast at replying and offering to swap my pump out whenever needed.

Huge thanks to Paul @ RSTuning for squeezing my car in to get me up and running

Awesome news... Corrosion is a wonderful cause of elec issues..
Better to cut out now than at full chat on a main straight.. Lucky in a way it was on the dyno..
Looking forwards to track days again now
😁

Car is back home.

Nothing at all really to report power wise after the parts were fitted. Power was roughly the same ( taking in atmospherics / temps etc ) and its gone from narrowband to wideband.

My arse dyno cannot tell the difference other than the car appears to be smoother. This could of course be down to a questionable connection to the MFRU.
