Looks worth saving to me, especially at the current bid price!

All V6 Clios are worth saving [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Would be better if they told you which number it was or am i just thick?

[v6]1681[/v6]

Very sad as Ben won best Vee prize at Kimbolton show last year.

Was only the front offside that was damaged. 40mph and a wee wall in slippery fog. They valued the damage at £16,700 and declared a total loss.

Paid out value £17,700

Everyone is well and in good health.

Good news i won the auction, should be able to get the V repaired and back on the road in the next few months.
Thanks James for the info much appreciated. I will post some pics during the repair.

Are you sure about this James ? - paid out £17,700 for a MK1 Vee :approve: that's an amazing settlement [smilie=yay.gif]

Well done Andy. Looking at the photos it's very hard to see why an estimate of nearly £17k was given to repair the car. It only looks like a bumper, front wing, sill and a side re-paint, but I guess there must be some hidden nasties.

Are you going to keep the car, or sell it on once repaired?

Mark

Hi Mark
like you say the damage looks light but we will see when we have it stripped, how they get to a £17000 repair bill is also beyond me. A good friend of mine who has driven my cars has badgered me into letting him have it, so it wont be offered for sale. My plan was to keep it, but i will still enjoy repairing it evenings and weekends with him as he is quite handy on the tools.

Looking forward to seeing this repaired to it's former glory :salut:
Loads of photo updates required Andy ;)

Yes all collected now, parts required are front bumper, left wing, arch liner, bonnet, foglamp and surround. It also needs repair to front panel and inner wing. really pleased with it, its a well cared for example.

Good news that it seems a fairly straightforwards repair [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] You can get pretty good quality replica panels from Pete up in County Durham (find him on Ebay) or MC Racing in the south of France do all the panels at reasonable cost for both Ph1 or Ph2, Front Bumper 336 euros, front wing 165 euros www.mcracingsa.com :approve: They do very presentable replica 5 parts!

Thanks for that info. I did ring Renault £1446 + vat for the wing £1100 +vat for the bumper both not available. Fog lamp was more reasonable at £42 but the surround was £172 only thing that i may struggle with is the arch liner which is no longer available any ideas?
