CiloV6.net are invited to attend the Kimbolton Country Fayre and Classic Car Show on 16 July 2023 in Kimbolton Cambridgeshire PE28 0EA. We will have a club stand.

It is a big show with 800 cars attending.

You will find reports of previous club attendance at this event on the forum.

Apologies Martin, I’m one of the Lankan’s assistants on Silverstone Festival (Classic) meet. Northampton is very central to UK (as a whole) plus the Silverstone event has lots to see & do… and yet participation is low. I think Rustedandrotten strong-arming folk into attending is the secret weapon. : )

I would imagine that once that stand-alone event can attract decent number of Vees, then we can look to expand into other V6 group meetings elsewhere.

However, there are obviously other forces influencing proceedings. Not least, that it’s tricky to get service slots at SGM. I bet a few of the temporarily laid up ones are outside their cambelt schedule too. There’s also an element of risk whenever driving that a minor accident may be difficult to repair.

Those who do take a gung-ho approach to attending meetings, inevitably find that networking with other owners is worth its weight in gold. Plus they get to share their Vee with its many admirers. It’s a vastly rewarding experience.

Apathy and most of the new owners only want to hide them away, getting interest is like herding cats [smilie=icon_cry.gif] There is however a small hard core of people who are still active and interested and they are greatly appreciated :approve:
