Janspeed exhaust tips

I just got fitted an standard exhaust system and my Janspeed exhaust is out now.

I would like to put it back at some point in the future but can't stand the angled tips! I can see the tips are welded in two points, is this a matter of cutting these two with a grinder and pull them out? Where could I get tips similar to the OEM? Would this affect the noise/performance?

Scott sorted me out with larger diameter tips put onto a standard rear box. Probably via Charlie at Prospeed. I'm told my car sounds a tiny bit deeper than normal.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but the thing is I want to remove them myself, I’m broke after my recent cam-belt change!

I think the standard exhaust has the tips welded all the way around but on the Janspeed only a couple of weldings can be seen… can I just cut these and pull them out?

I also think but I'm not sure that Spike said that he found change of performance of up to 10 bhp with different tips when designing the Janspeed exhaust for the PH2…

Stainless steel is a bit of a nightmare to DIY. My advice is 'leave well alone' until you can afford for a pro to do the work.

My Janspeed tips have rust spots on them, so they are not too stainless!! Perhaps it's only the stainless ones that give +10bhp?

This.

Sorry to come in late on this one,
I have no direct experience with the janspeed tips or how they are fitted, personally I would jut cut them off and weld on new ones, its never been an issue to get janspeed to change the tips so shouldn't be too difficult if your skint.
As for 10bhp with a different tip. I wish! although there was an issue with the tips and their position, in the wrong place the noise was unbearable and made the car horrible to drive, yes really, worse than normal.
I did find an extra 30bhp by fitting two 24 inch drainpipes to the tips but the car was too difficult to park so the project was abandoned.
