It's That Time Of Year Again - Hagerty Fail....

..........and Hagerty aren't playing ball, didn't even want to quote! Shame as it was an agreed value policy :( .

So, hit the Confused, Go Compare etc etc, done loads of phoning around etc etc.

Best quote is £288 with Adrian Flux :approve: (Steve wonders if they'll chuck in a 'Flux babe' for free  ), funny thing is every time in the past i've used them for quotes, they've been shit, not even close :s . But have come up trumps this year by the looks of it!

Still shopping about at the mo, but I think this will be the policy for me this year.

I will report back nearer the time, if I manage to beat the £288, but I'm starting to doubt it TBH.

Worst quote so far with Direct Line £921.90p - Jokers :(

As Arnie says - i'll be back, regards, Steve.

That's a good price. Mine is up in may so need to start shopping around.

Tbh I wasn't going to renew with hagerty as didn't want to lose my ncb on the vee after. 2 yrs.

Flux for me this year as well :approve: As above Hagerty didn't want to know!!!!!
Sorted me out for both cars, best deal by far :)

So what are people paying? I got a quote from admiral for 417 which I thought was ok ish. 31 fncb etc.

Cheers.

You'll be paying that 'bit extra' Matt for having one of those rare sought after yellow ones ;)

Steve.

P.S.Hagerty did get back to me via email in the end - cost this year via them is £489.72p, a considerable increase over last year! So Flux is still looking to be the best option at present.

I know there was something! :)

Put my girlfriend on admiral policy and it dropped a hundred. Do grandmas drop it further (both dead but worth a try)?

I've just renewed with Sky insurance, was the cheapest quote by far.

Do Flux do agreed value policies Steve?

It's going to be Flux me thinks, just got to make the call and confirm, unless anyone else has any ideas?

Deb's, I tried Sky Insurance today, tbh they got close @ £350, but no cigar ;)

Regards, Steve.

Steve,

I went to confused for a quote when my AA renewal went up drastically and got offered £286.20 by ensleigh.
I held on then got an automatic quote from confused for £237.50 by smart people budget... who ever they are!
I'll need to add legal cover (a must) for about £25.

Regards
Kett

Wouldn't it be great if we could shop around for car tax? ;)

Ensleigh and Post Office both worked out more expensive than Flux, Post Office was only just more, by about £15.

So its going to be Flux.

Thanks for everyones input, Steve.

That must be it ;) Hagert wanted £416 to renew.

So far, admiral coming out the best at £387.65 - so prob go with them!

Post office and Kwik Fit were both around the £800 mark!!
