I remembered that on my PH1 a Coil failure had the the emmisions light on & the serv light-

Driving tonight- car seemed down on power- didnt want to rev past 5k-
When we got to ace cafe the Emmisions light stayed on-

I reset it Prior to leaving clearing all faults-

10 mins into the journey when I rev 4th gear the engine emissions light flashes 3 times & then stays illuminated-

As I get closer to home the car runs rougher & rougher- like as I recall im on 4 or 5 cyinders- wont rev past 3k-
I used half a tank of fuel in 40 miles-

Also of note i reset the trip computer & it never reset- thew MPG just stayed flashing-

So then Coil or Lamber sensor?

thanks in advance-

steve

Hi Steve,

Sounds exactly like a coil failure to me. I had one go just after leaving SG; it was intermittent at first with warning lights illuminating then going out. Made it 3 miles then bump, turned into a Scooby! [smilie=icon_cry.gif] Limped back to Scotts and he had it changed in 5 mins ! :race:

SG just changed all my sparks so I've got this to look forward to soon no doubt :approve:
Scott told me recently, of all the Coils he's changed over the years, he's never seen a repeat failure! ;)
