How easy is it to change the main carb jet?

I have a 125 main jet but its pinking at around 18-20 psi and I want to change it for a 135 main, is this something easy that I can do myself? Do you just remove the carb lobster top and undo the main jet in there with a screw driver and refit the new one in its place and do everything back up again? The Air Corrector is .90 so thats fine and the 2nd stage is fine too.. so its just the main jet I would like to do myself without having to take it to a tuner. Just wanted to check this was straight forward ;)

Thanks.

oh... also... I was going to contact this company for the bigger jet as they are only a few quid.. and K-Tec want over £10. are these the same as the jets I need for my Solex carb as the webber? or if not is there anywhere else that supply them as cheaply? Thanks.

I just called that company and they said that there are not any jets available for the Solex carb anymore... and havent been any for the last 20 years! So how comes K-Tec sell them? Thanks.

What fuel are you running? Have you actually measured what your AFR is? Person on RTOC had all the jets manufactured for all the different sizes you need. I very doubt you need to run a 135 main though. People more boost than that with just a 125 main.

BP Ultimate or Optimax, this was set up by the tuner.. he didnt have a 130 main so tried a 125 but it needed either a 130 or 135 to see how that goes. I think I'll go for a 130 main and see if that stops the pinking.
