high engine idle??????

Gates supply most of the Cambelts to most manufacturers!

Ring up any GSF store, Motor Factors and they should be able to get you a Gates belt quote!

Renault use Gate belts they just have the extra Renault Stamp on it which costs all the rest! ;)

There must be underlying issue though for it to just shred some teeth of the cambelt?

yeah i will make sure the pulleys are torqued up right and see wot happens hopefully all will be ok this time!! any 1 have any tips for doin this or is it a cambelt pinched over and hold jobby?

one other thing how will i be able to tell if the valves have been bent without taking the head off will it not run???

either cylinder leakage test done cheap but you need a compressor or compression check

ahh cool mates got a compression gauge ill test it when back togther cheers

dont want to put a downer on things but that vid sounds like theres no compression and you can hear some dodgey clicking which sounds like contact on a valve to me. hope im wrong for your sake

ouch, an unwanted oh so familair noise!

my fingers are crossed in hope for as little damage as possible. but i can see your going to have to buy some valves :(

not to worried now mates got a refurbed head with all new valves and guides skimmed and apparently polished for a ton so fuck renault £400  for 16 bits of metal nah way hopefully sorted soon angry9:

havent taken the head off yet tool bit snapped doin the head bolts so just gunna get a mobile meccy out and gun them off then ill have a look by wot every 1 says they are....
