Still looking if anyone has a nice vee on offer (preferably black) ...

I updated my story of my dealings with DFB on the other 'for sale thread', but basically I had agreed to purchase his car - I went over to see the car, we agreed on the price, shook the proverbial hand and the deal was done. I offered a deposit on the car to secure it - I was told it was not necessary as he was a man of his word. We agreed a time for the car to be checked, I got in touch with him to firm this up as we got close to the time and received no response, to texts, emails and calls. Eventually I got a text back advising that there was a problem with the gearbox, that it was in being checked and he would get back in touch with me - I told him that I still wanted to move ahead and could get it checked over whilst it was on the ramps .... no response yet again. I chased again by phone, texts and emails. It is clear he had obviously received a better offer.

So the hunt continues .... anyone have anything interesting, drop me a line, thanks :race:

Joking aside, that is really disappointing for you. However the optimist may say its for the best and when you do get hold of 'your' car you may be glad that one slipped through the net...

DFB's Vee appeared on paper to be exceptional VFM... perhaps it was 'under priced' and his 'head was turned' by a better offer?
Seemed like a genuine chappie to me...

Sorry not even nearly, it has its second owner already lined up for when im too old to get in it - my son (who is 18months only right now!!)

But Matt came to look just as refference for when he was looking at others - Hoddesdon is about an Hr from me, my inlaws are in Hertford.
