hi:eek: im a new user and i got a megane 1.6l rt classic:?. im doing a service on it and i can't find the drain plug for the radiator. its driving me nuts:twisted:. the engines got a splash/bump guard like thingy mounted just below the 'rad' and it looks tricky to remove. done really want to do it unless i have to:roll:. can any1 tell me if thats where it is or is it somewhere else. any help would be much appriciated.ty:p....

u sure. i thought bout dat myself and then thought 'nah...they wouldn't do that that....thats stupid'... but i suppose they are french! i guess thats what ill have to do. but it seems really inefficient. coz that would drain the rad and coolant resovoir but what about the system and head gasket. wouldn't they retain like a litre of fluids. hmmm.... guess you could turn the engine over for like 5 secs... but it still a crap way to flush a coolant system... damn cheese eating surrender monkeys!:p

there's a difference between draining and flushing

basically take as many pipes off as you want to, then stick a hose pipe into one end or the other of each component e.g. heater matrix, block etc

also to really rinse the head through you can remove the thermostat which is inline with the coolant entry pipe
