Right then I need abit of help and some brains I can pick at regarding some custom pipe work to completely take out my collector pipe,
I've been doing lots of homework on here before I posted so I know whats involved & its Matts help I could do with if your willing my friend as I see you have a collector pipe for sale which i desperatly need some measurements off.
I Managed to pick up a Quicksilver OMG from ADDZ the weekend :approve: & my intentions when i brought my Vee was to get her as loud as possible with out switching on the emmisions lights and failing m.o.t's etc..
Now I want to keep my collector pipe so cutting the secondary cats out is a no go for me & also dont want to cut the flared ends off the collector either So I started looking into a custom job,
I can get all the stainless pipework made up no probs but i need to make a flange to mate up to the existing flanges on the original down pipes... SO what I really need is someone to be willing to measure up the flange on a collector pipe for me so I can draw a template up and get one made in stainless, I would use my own collector but I use my Vee everyday & can't take her off the road
So if Anybody (or Matt) can help me on this it would be ace!
Also apologies for the long winded post to get to the point but I thought other people would be very interested in this mod too so if I can give as much detail as possible it may help fellow members out,
So if the project turns out to be viable and fairly cheap maybe James would let me put a scale drawing in the knowledge base where members could simply print off the flange template for this mod?
I also spoke to Quicksilver direct today and the very helpful guy on the phone said if i took a complete collector to them they are pretty sure they could make me something for around the £400 mark... So that may be an option for some of you guys if you only use your Vee as a second car & can remove your untouched collector,
Im going to try and see if i can get something made cheaper than that first but if I get stuck then i may do that myself & figure a way to get to work etc for a while! Also then quicksilver will have all the info they need then to make these pipes commercially for all... but I doubt they will be cheap though :s
