Handbrake Cable Information Request

looch

New Member
Hi all

My drivers side handbrake cable snapped recently and having spoke to Paul at RPD, the news back isnt good... The item is discontinued.

My question is does the Vee share the cable with another car? and if so any ideas which?

Failing that, does anyone have any idea who/where/what might be able to help in terms of going the custom route?

Thanks

Having spoke to Scott he confirmed they've been discontinued and as a result has bought all their remaining stock

I believe the oem cables are manufactured by REMKAFLEX,
Part code : RHBC00942 , not sure if they would supply independently.

The above corresponds to Renault part code : 6020011716.

Hi ,

Hi Richard,

There are copies of manuals in 'The Knowledge' section.

To acquire a paper original - try placing a 'wanted' advert on this website. Alternatively, a patient wait on eBay should suffice.

Euro car parts list them @ £9 a side

I know I'm resurecting a real old thread here but are the cables available?
Are they shared with anything else

Another ‘bit of a nightmare’ situation. No longer available but theoretically reproducible from original. I’ve had to wait an unearthly time for a replacement sourced by ‘the man who can’ SGM. He may have some extras…

…if not, salvage the original and find a reputable cable maker.
