Tidied up a coilover tonight- had these in storage for ages ready to go on the car eventually. But one of the struts had got wet during storage and gained surface rust. Was going to zinc coat but have been advised not to as the acid part of the process could effect the seals and possibly get into the shock therefore I have done a quick repair by carefully removing the original decal, sanded back to original metal and then lacquered over the top and reapplied the decal:
