H reg 21 T quadra

hi has it sold how much for it, will it pass mot thanks

Hi Liam, not sold it yet- just not had time to really do anything with it. I'm hoping to get an MOT on it in the next few days but I've been saying that for nearly 2 weeks! It should go through and MOT fine once I've sorted the highbeam light stalk issue. Looking around the ?500 mark for it with some new genuine parts to get it ship-shape thrown in.

Go on, you know you want to........... bargain, quadra aswell:icon_wink:

I'm running out of time and am really doubting I'll be able to MOT it anytime soon so ?400 as is. It runs; it drives but it has no tax or test...

Thats cheap for a quaddie, someone buy it before someone buys it and breaks it. I would love to, but looking at getting my original 21 back on the road soon, and looks like Ill be fixing the Evo aswell, so defo no spare wonger. Lee? Craig?

Well, I've had a lot of interest in the Quadra so here's the good and the bad (and possibly the ugly?) of the beast:

Work done:
Engine has been rebuilt by the looks of the receipts with de-coke sets, piston liner seals, big end bearings etc all featuring in the folder of invoices. The gearbox has been rebuild and I understand that the rear diff has also been rebuilt. It's had discs all round fitted in the last few years as well plus I had new rear calipers fitted. The engine starts and runs well and the turbo spins up well with no oil from the exhaust. It's had a recent starter motor replacement, a radiator a while back and has a powerflow exhaust; all of which is documented. It was HPI clear in 1999 with no accidents etc on the form. It's had a new headlamp NSF (I'm selling one of those in new conditon on Ebay btw!) and had a new clutch a few years ago. Lots of other service type bits and bobs as well that shows it has been looked after. It's had new plugs leads as well and was serviced with an oil change 2k/ 18 months ago. The cam belt was done in 2005 and hasn't seen much mileage since.

Tha bad bits: Rust in both rear doors- usual place; lower rear of doors. Need fuel tank strap (supplied), needs speedo cable changed (supplied although the speedo still works, the needle wobbles badly!), the sunroof mech has broken, it will need some welding at some point on the near side sill although this isn't bad at all and passed the last MOT ok with it. ABS light is on, ECU light is on (aux water pump always running) but as I say, the car starts fine and drives well. Heat shield rattels somewhere... Oh, and it's been sprayed from red to black... Thats all I can think of at the moment...

I did have a bunch of pics of the car but cant find them now. I think the guy that had it before was Fajqoirs mate, cheesy teeth :icon_lol:

There was a bloke from Tipton way with a black 21 with red engine bay, thingys mate Dave, the one whose moved to Bristol I think??

That's the car! It has been well looked after in it's time which is the main reason I bought it but I just don't have the time or (now) space to keep it. The spray job is pretty good with just about everything now being black including in the engine bay and door pillars etc.
