I decided to phone Trackstar to make sure they had all my details correct. They confirmed that last year the tracker signalled the car was moving without the ignition being switched on. However no one called me as they made the decision that the car wasn't been stolen. The agent I spoke to had no idea how or why the person who dealt with my alert made the decision not to call me, or how they could even make the decision that it wasn't being stolen.
They have now esculated my query to the complaints team for investigations (the agent admited that sometimes the person dealing with the alert will track the car for a short amout of time and call local Renault garages (in our case) to find out if they are expecting delivery of a car - seems a bit of a strange process to me, and the car wasn't being taken to a Renault garage so they can't use that). I'll see what they come back with anyway.
