Going Racing 2015

You didn't miss much guys. A very disappointing end to the season.
Car sat in the assembly area for nearly 4 hours as track was covered in fog.
Went out for qualifying which was very busy but managed 13/42.
Race 1, got to 8th and right on the back of a Clio cup car, then the fitting on the turbo compressor came out, causing overboost, ECU did its job cutting engine, popping and banging soon as it came on boost.
Finished the race 15/42 hoping we could fix the problem. This would have been simple but H/G had gone.......

Sorry to hear that Dave, at least there's more chance to get the engine sorted ready for next season. Any other adjustments being
done during the winter? :-)

Unlucky Dave - the fog was bad further east, and we made our way to the A11 @ Norwich (little one swimming) and it was sunny and bright. I guess as you went further south it got thick again :(

What happened to the Turbo?

It protected us from a melt down of the engine for sure. Only a tiny bit of mayo on the filler cap and header tank was pressurised, not a lot of water lost. Water temps were ok.

When It started to cut, I wasn't sure what was going on. I soon realised it was boost related and wanted to finish the race so we had a good grid position for next race. Didn't want to be at the back of 42 cars.
Whether this caused it or it went straight away, I don't know.
Not sure how much it overboosted as we didn't have boost gauge plumbed in due to the problems on the rollers.

Bad end to a good season .
Yes mate , was so looking forward to it after the washout of Silverstone

Engine and gearbox/diff will be getting the once over, thinking about moving the petrol tank forward a bit so it sits over/infront rear wheels.
We will be running 15's next year so a bigger disc is now possible.
Bigger and stiffer springs on the front, checking all the front polybushes as one definitely knackered on the n/s. Causes us a few problems with wheelspin.
What happened to the Turbo?
The port into the compressor housing popped out!!!!!
