Update from castle Combe.
Was really looking forward to this, Combe is a fast and last time there 4 years ago.
Scorching hot day so a bit concerned how we would fair.
Chaos getting scrutineered so missed some of qually.
Only put a couple laps after scrubbing new tyres in , then the red flag came out.
We matched our previous best, still learning track and happy with 14/34

Race one
Got a good start picking off a few before the safety car came out.
Thought I was in 3rd place behind the safety car, so was buzzing to get going knowing a win was in sight.
Safety car pulled in, lead car blows up and get stuck behind 2nd place who developed a misfire, a flying nova cane past and quickly latched onto him but never close enough to get past.
Absolute ecstatic knowing I was the first French car over the line for my first ever race win.
Surprised they didn’t stop me got the podium and interviews
Best lap 117.8
Turns out I was 4th as the safety car cocked it right up , not picking up the leaders
Race 2
Started 2nd with a couple of non starters, left the door open into bobbies for a RX8 to get past and then he was a rolling road block in the corners. Frustration got the better of me, making mistakes which sent me grass tracking and into 5th place where I finished.
Best lap 117.7
A great day and car was faultless although very low oil pressure 20 psi at times.
Looks like engine out again ......

Silverstone in July
was my nans 80th so had to attend that rather than watch "race cars" all day.
Any early candidates for suspicion?

I reckon I did the pump in priming before start up.
Lots of cranking trying to get oil pressure before getting a drill on it
Pressure was really good when we took engine out and only sat on engine stand.

All looking great , silverstone is my local track , 8 miles from my house so hopefully catch you in action , keep us posted on progress,
