Going Racing 2015

Was great to be there Dave, and thanks for the clutch cable. Your car looks so great going round the track making mincemeat out of loads of stuff. The best performance was in qualifying where you pulled off just past the marshals to have your mcflurry them for back to obliterating most of the pack. And nothing, and I mean nothing came past you. (y)

Could have been a lot worse considering the lack of testing mate. Good to hear both the drivers involved in the crash were OK.
Sadly I hear there seasons are over before its even got started.

Can anyone tell me why the word clutch links to ebay as a hyper link?
 
Had a little play to find electrical issues....hope its sorted now.
Stripped the wiring to the fan and rad thermosat and started again. This was causing a back feed to the ECU, causing the car to stall.
Checked tappets and cars all ready for Thruxton Saturday. looking forward to this as supporting the trucks :)

Fingers crossed for the reliability stuff Davo - there's no doubt she's a flyer.
 
Had a great weekend at Thruxton. Fast is an understatement so many places flat out over the 2.5 mile circuit, we had an average speed of nearly 90mph.
Qualifying was damp and very scary not knowing the track and car was very nervy on damp track.
Qualified 12/32 with a time of 1.42. Got beaten by a standard Clio 182 and got ribbed by the family for that :)

Race 1
Great start, got to 5th before the first chicane as we started all the fast stuff, lost couple of places and settled down to catch the guys in front. Towards the end of the race, we was catching the 5th place car and car behind closing in on us, going to be a good finish to the race. then heading towards Church flat out in 5th around 110mph, engine cut out so coasted round Church and got overtaken . Switched off the ignition and back on again and engine fired back up to finish in 6th with a best time of 1.33.

Race 2
Too much wheelspin and lost places but a brilliant race getting to 4th at one point.
Battling with a supercharged Clio and another high spec Clio was fun and some great onboard footage.
one of the clios spun when we were all close and decided to take to the grass to avoid at 80mph which focuses the mind :)
Finished 5th with a slipping clutch and best time of 1.32.
Cadwell Park next in July
 
Got loads of theories as to why its cuts out, done it twice now.
We did have data logging set up, Qualifying she was popping and missing a bit so set it up.
We had a look after it cut out in the race but all double Dutch..........
Disconnected the launch control for race two and car was loads better until the clutch started slipping :)

Send it over if you like, i'll have a look? Done a lot of log analysis when I had the ECU running issues last year.
