I think i'm gonna bite the bullet and go for the GAZ coilovers. Has anybody got any pics of what you get back from GAZ? Also does anyone know of an alternative, ive looked but cant seem to find anything.

cheers Dan

I believe Mr General Lee has them fitted to his phase 1 & it's as stiff as a stiff thing.....no movement in the suspension & he said it handled very well......PM/call him.....just make sure you add an insult or two along the way....he loves it....

I can unwrap one of the front legs tomorrow and post a pic of that as well.

Dansam, wait a bit mate, I've been on phone to Gaz about how poor mine are on anything other than a runway flat surface.

They were bottoming out all the time in Wales

Hahahahaha

No problem. Tbh I can't quite believe nobody else has rung them, Phil has same issue, as does Dips.
Anyway spoke to Mark, I'm sending mine back for a re-work - they currently go too low for the piston travel. However they sit any higher and it'll emulate a Land Rover lol

This makes me a bit worried, as I have them in the garage already. Are you saying that the from shocks doesn't match the ride height? Will it need a different spring or do they need to rework the shock completely?

Your just using the fronts on yours aint ya?

Yeah I'm suprised no one else has kicked up a fuss!

I bought the whole lot and my rears rattle like an old moped
In my opinion the piston is too long for the threaded body, I asked why they'd make something go that low if it's just gonna bang n crash about.......around town they are like a basketball.
Anyway as soon as I've sourced a ****ty STD set for mine to stand on I'll get em over to him.
Mark has promised me an urgent turn around, the customer service at GAZ is brilliant let's hope the workmanship matches it lol

Swedish bloke, get em on quickly, only takes an hour, try it n see what u think ;)

I was planning to change all the bushes in the front end at the same time, so probably will try it during the weekend. Will hopefully be good with new wishbones and balljoints. :)

Pics of the stuff I got sent.

the top most spring is for rear, won't fit. They'll make new springs and send to me.

The rear stuff, missed the rear shock in the first pic.

nice one, cheers buddy.
so did you send them some front legs and they re-work them?
and why does the rear spring not fit?

That guy would be me. I have another old set of shocks that are ideal for converting if you need them?

Hold that thought mate, I might need to stand Zorro on them for a fortnight while Gaz address mine - if ok ;)
