Gaskets and Seals for R5 carb??

for it to chove the dipstick out its breathing heavy so worn bores or rings as per what Marc said.

in the words of Captain Slow.... Oh Cock :(

Next question I guess then is what engine is quick and easy to fit in replacement of the one that is in there, other than the obvious straight swap anyway ;) ?

well another 1.4 c-type will go right in the quickest.

I have one here you can have for free if you want

Its a 4 hour job that way, if you fancy extra time then stick in anythign you fancy. the 1.7 GTX lump for example.

yeah the box will match up to it. TBH you'll get the whole lot including box pretty cheap anyway

You'll need the throttle cable and to slightly alter the fuel lines but its still a day job

converting it to efi (rsi/16V) etc will take a couple of days

did think about dropping a 8.16v in it but would really need it to be a quick and easy job due to needing it as transport until I can get gf's clio back on the road.

theres a fair bit of wiring and plumbing involved, nothing hard as such but if you dinnae know what your doing its easy to get lost.
