5 GT Turbo Fuel tank leak - can i use one from 5 door renault 5

Hi,

I have the well known fuel leak, I couldn't get it to seal, it keeps leaking after a while, can I use a fuel tank from a 5 door renault 5? Is the GTT fuel tank unique?

I think the GTT has a reserve tank meaning the main tank is a different shape, you may be able to replace the whole lot though and do without a reserve. @Brigsy will know.

Yes is am aware that the GT has a small reserve/auxiliary tank, the question is are the main ones the same...

Why only the GTT/GTE develop a leak...

Gtt tank has a baffle in, so need to check the 5 door one has one fitted.

Ok got it, my guess is that the baffle is a part of that leaky yelloy bung, so I guess putting a leak proof tank from a 5 door R5 might cause fuel starvation on hard corners or low fuel in the tank... what do you think?
