For Sale: 1991 Renault 19 16v

Yep it does, I've allways known the J266HTR is white was used in a mag. Al on ROC, got in contact with someone from Renault, when I put the for sale ad on there, hence me fining out about how renault import cars to UK, and have a known reg, normally Hz , Here a copy of some of the chat on ROC.

Peter Turner Well Al, as far as I know, that R19 Cabriolet was the first to be registered in the UK. i.e the first RHD cabriolet after the Caravelle ???

Al Worsley Now that is hard as there were cabriolet 5GTs and 4s (ok sardine cans)
Al Worsley but not factories
Al Worsley but the plate is not one of the "known" factory plates and normaly the firsts are registered to renault
Al Worsley although TR is portsmouth which would tie in with CAT GB

Peter Turner hmmm, well there a well known press photo of a Ph1 R19 Cab, and the last letter are HTR, i.e portmouth, I know of 3 Ph1 R19 cab with this plate 264,266, and 268.

Al Worsley From experience, every dealer gets a display car (now HV,HX or HY) and the first cars are usually in this batch. It is interesting

Al Worsley I would jump at it...just because it's a Renault.
Al Worsley It is a fleet one.

Peter Turner what that mean Al, A fleet car. ?

Al Worsley I checked with Renault and it was one of theirs. Like the ones they have now they lend to top gear and others.
Al Worsley These days the regs tend to be hx,Hv and hk

It then goes on to how I could get it back here, etc with not mot etc.

First off when I sold it on here, I did so it could be kept from the scrap heap, and gone to a collector. I lost me jb, so work on it never got done so it had to go, I'm so happy to see that it is in still good hand, And with more work on the above info, Now that this club knows it, I know it got many more years in it yet. So join ROC facebook group, pass on the bit you know about the car, and see where it goes. I did want the fab number, because then I could work out what month it was made. As the software I have tells me that only 3 was made in the month of dec 91.

I never thought I'd see that car looking that good! Glad I sold it to Kieran, it's obviously been well looked after and refreshed!

;) It does look good. Wheels look lovely, nice addition.

Do miss this thing, strongest F7P engine i've ever seen/heard. Gearbox was lovely too.

Hope to see it at FCS!
