Engine Upgrade.

Hi All a newbie posting.
I am looking for someone to build for me, on a commercial basis, a 21 turbo engine with the following characteristics; high reliability, minimum turbo lag and around 250 ft lbs torque, . This is to replace the very modified J7R 720 12valve engine I'm currently running with a 21t g/box .
I am also looking for someone who would help with the installation/plumbing/wiring of the completed 21t engine. This is to go in the back of my Alpine A110. If anyone is interested please pm me. Thanks, John

Dave another one for you:lol:

Try asking DaveL485 as he is in the middle of putting a 21t engine in an alpine.:respect:

The standard engine will do that, and if you are already running a J7 on EFI, then it will literally be a straight swap, bar swapping the ecu, map sensor, and changing the exhaust and fitting an intercooler (though a chargecooler would be recommended) The plumbing will be the same, and should be able to retain your current wiring loom.

Give me a ring mate- Just putting one together.

Also I've built/been involved with several 250lb/ft+ engines.

The Alpine conversion has been a bit of a bugger as it wasnt as straight forward as expected but it is possible with a modified UN1 bellhousing on the Alpine box (The crownwheel fouls the back of the bellhousing as it sits on the other side), Fabricated engine mounts and obviously one off wiring, cooling and boost systems. DON'T fit a 21T box in the back of the Alpine cos you'll end up with 5 reverse gears.

There is stacks of space to cram all the bits in there though mounting ancilliaries when everything is made of fibreglass is a laugh :075:

This is the only pic I got at work- from a few months ago. Should be running it up soon to test the flow of the cooling system.
