Electronic Wastegate

Thanks, we was a 10th away from the Class lap record around Silverstone GP in the wet !!!
Certainly be checking the cooler hoses from now on. The cooler and hoses were fitted new last year after we dropped a valve.

Yeah, remember about future classic 👍
Any help /advise just shout, happy to help.
Very Good result then.

Will give you a message. I will need some of the arches you do at some point and the best guidance on suspension set up etc without it looking too wide.

Great couple of days at Brands. Car didn’t miss a beat.
Qualified 4th with a 53.4. Surrounded by M3’s , so start going to be important.

Race 1
Shocking start and the M3’s left me for dead
Got some places back finishing 5th overall with a 54.4 best. Track was very slippy !!
Had two huge moments going into paddock with brake pedal going to floor at probably 120mph !!!!
A trip through the gravel and we’re back racing 😂

Race 2
Weather is horrid , so we Put the 52’s on but forgot to soften the suspension in the rush due to running early.
Realised the mistake in the assembly area and fuming 🤬🤬
Finished 6th and 2nd in the pre 93’s.

Videos to come 👍

Castle Combe next on June 11/12.

Have you had this issue before?? R8 are bad for knock off as they have a floating rear hub which wobbles about a bit. The pads knock off as the disc is moving sideways and pushes them, but this should only be by the amount of play in the hub, which in your case R5 should be minimal.
I ask, as a mate with an early Darrian T90 (with Imp Kingpins) was getting bad Pad knock off on the Crail stages. This was a new issue to him, but was actually caused by a growing fatigue crack in the stub pin. This resolved itself when the front wheel finally sheared off completely! Thankfully there was no damage to the occupants and the car survived with just some bruises.
Every failure I have had, definitely had warning signs which I misunderstood or ignored, but were obvious after the damage was done and I had thought about it.
Don't want to spoil your day, but don't want your car spoiled either, or you for that matter.
Also congrats on the results.......

No never had this with the AP’s.
Real issue with previous willwoods and learnt to left foot brake before corner to bring pedal back.

Appreciate the feedback steve 👍

I’m pretty certain it was me trying to hard and taking liberties with the kerbs.
The pedal comes straight back with a dab so definitely pack knock off.
No issues yesterday in the rain and brakes were spot on keeping away from apexes 😂

Have a similar issue fitting rear discs to midgets to much flex in the half shafts causes pad knock off.

Have I missed that this is a new brake set up? Or something else changed?

As I started this thread about the e gate, I best tell you what a success it’s been 👍

It’s given us the adjustable boost level we need for starts with boost by gear , wet and dry sessions.
Could never achieve that with an external gate.

I’ve set the data logging for the gate temps now, be good to see temps during :after a 15 minute race.
Castle Combe next, a very fast track so will get a good idea with data.
Got the option to water cool if it gets hot.

Sorry Mark, missed this.
Never had issue with the AP’s before and nothings changed.
I was pushing hard and took liberties with the kerbs.
At clearways, if you run to outside of the kerb, your pretty much driving on a rumble strip before the grass !!!
Pedal came back with a dab, so definitey pad knock off.
