1130hp G80 M3 anyone?
Finally managed to have a little time on the G80 the other day!
The red graph shows where the ECU load was maxing out at 327% target and request. This gradually ramped the boost in to a final 3.1 bar/45psi but we weren't able to run more torque midrange with this limit. There are ways to bend the calibration which isn't ideal so we didnt do this.
The red shows the MHD load reduction maps in action, this is based on MHD's own MAF calculation on one axis and RPM on the other. The main table is then a factor that reduces the load the ECU sees at a given MAF(all fuel calculations are done to match boost by MHD+). It takes a little work to get it working well but a great feature!
I suspect i'd overheated the clutches with the back to back runs so left it like this for now until we can get some logs on the track. It wasnt keen on the initial peak of torque as you can see. Hopefully this will be able to put all the torque down on the mickey thompsons and run some rapid 1/4 mile time!
I have to say i'm so impressed with these Spool Performance turbos though, almost stock like spool and over 1100hp is insane on what's effectively a pair of hybrids.
