What was interesting is that all spark plug holes were leaking. Glad that they’ve done all of the pressure testing, that’s worth paying for in my opinion.
 
wouldn't it be better to fit an alpine or gordini turbo head for better flows? not the pre cross flow?

At a later date yes, to be honest not been able to find one so if you hear of one going then please let me know. Other's have made over 300hp with the C1J head though.
 
E13D658C-F061-4073-8E82-AD181F874532.webp Extremely bored tonight so fitted rocker shaft, blanking plate and water pump to head. With any luck I’ll be up and running this weekend. Used some fresh studs too.

Not looking forward to the clocks changing, I always enjoyed fettling into the evening. Can’t wait until I have a garage with lightning.

I do need a long term solution for a accelerator cable bracket, I’ve asked Matt if he can knock something up for me.

A50C8058-32F0-45C5-B032-69BCDCEA579B.webp Managed to get a few hours on the car today. Head is on along with manifolds, sorted valve clearances too. Will piece the rest together over the next few days.

Decided to do away with heater matrix hoses altogether, should simplify things somewhat and saves me burning them with downpipe.
 
I think you might need to revisit this especially if you are going to be using the car in winter. Condensation / misting will be bad ..

Yeah will revisit if and when I get issues.

Heater doesn’t work anyway, doesn’t flow at all so no real loss. I make do with the heat coming through bulkhead.

I always thought the main reason for keeping the heater was more water to help cooling......

Like you say, see how it is temperature wise, when she's used in anger !!!!
