5 GT Turbo EFI - GT Turbo

I would share the issue with them and highlight that along with your experiences and other well documented problems others have had......your taking it to get done correctly ;)

Attitude to problems / feedback usually reflects the situation

Hope you get it sorted and at least others will know to avoid

Dropped head off to engine shop this morning, they are going to hot pressure test first and then go from there. I'd expect to have it back within a week regardless.

Ordered yet another exh/inlet gasket and booked next mapping for 16th Nov.

I've heard good things about them and was recommended them by a well known company also. hopefully they will see you right

Sorry to hear your having so many problems, unfortunately being a trail blazer with a conversion is always hard but you'll be a hero at the end of it with @300bhp in a 5, sounded very sweet in that vid of the Supra and just as importantly looked like it was very stable. Hope it comes together soon.

Thanks Tony, yes I'll get there eventually I am sure.

Early indication from engine shop is valve seats are shit ! Will know more tomorrow but looks good to go again.

Valve seats are usually not given as much attention as they should, they might even 'sit' unevenly so some valves protrude more (less) thus the combustion chamber volume is different among each cylinder - not good.
Measuring and fixing, if necessary, combustion chamber volume is very important imho.

Anyway it's good if it's only seats, bonus indeed; make sure they check everything else too. ;)

All inlet valves are leaking and one inlet valve needs completely replacing.

They are going to reseat all valves for me and reassemble followed by a final pressure test to ensure all good. Also asked them helicoil stud holes too.

CTM are sending inlet valve and set of valve stem seals.

I think it's fair to say none of that would of been helping performance.

Sorry Sir but no, not fair to say, valves leaking translates to wasted energy; there will definitely be some gain fixing that.

Good choice that you decided to involve CTM back in the game again, after all they indeed have responsibility on this.

Concerning valve stem seals make sure you will use the ones on the left :)

Well I haven't involved CTM, I just called and ask for a valve. I didn't say why but I'm sure he guessed.
