Not really, just that my closed loop fuelling will now work. Mapper is confident of good numbers in terms of an overall package and might look into a meth kit.
Annoyed that another CTM head has failed. Need to find someone I can trust with headwork.
I guess one positive is we didn't put it on rollers and drop another valve. Also I could of saved mysel some time and money by comp testing yesterday.
Head is off, removed manifolds and water pump this morning so all boxed up to drop over to South Cerney Engineering tomorrow morning.
I'm going to ask them to dismantle and fully inspect and then replace and rebuild ensuring all pressure tested before refitting. A few of the stud threads need sorting too plus I may as well ask them to take out the push rod holes just an extra few mm for a bit more clearance.
I've no confidence in using CTM again, far too many incidents with me and quite a few other people.
New head bolts and head gasket set arrived yesterday. I'm also going to need to order yet another exhaust/inlet gasket.
The plan is to get back to the mapper end of Oct/early Nov to try again. If funds allow I may add a meth kit fitting jets in each inlet runner, the mapper explained how we can run two maps which can be switchable when using methanol.
Out of interest what have CTM said ?. You obviously spent a chunk of money with them so wondered if they were going to sort you out in some way. I can understand however that you wouldn't want them doing any more work on it.

Not even bothering to talk to them this time. Last time my valve guide dropped and smashed bottom end to bits they just blamed the mapper and I ended up paying almost £200 for the repair, they did very little to help or suppport, their attitude stinks in my opinion.
I've had another lad come to me today who has had issues with them. Adam Ford didn't have a great experience either nor from what I understand has Dave Clark. All in all not worth the risk especially as I am pushing so hard.
South Cerney have been recommended to me by Dialynx who build high end race cars and my mates hill climb 205.
