Got to the bottom of issue, number 4 rod bent.

No head still had a bent valve and poor seats on the inlet valves but I bet you the low compression was mainly down to this.

Ordered fuel pressure sensor and Innovate SSI-4 today, it makes sense to add some additional safety features for this build. With closed loop fuelling all wired in correctly now plus some kind of ign/rpm cut for low fuel pressure i think im covered. The Innovate also allows for additional pressure sensors such as oil at a later date, it seems like a sensible investment long term.

Close to biting the bullet on diff also, just waiting for a price back from a few places but the likes of JJC Rally or Demon Tweeks seem to be cheapest for a Quaife at £1020.

Haven't bought Innovate yet, waiting for Burton Power to confirm stock. Bought pressure sensor direct from Hi-Tune.

If/when I buy diff I promise ill Skimlink, both JJC and DT have ebay pages.

On my old vag 5 the diff change along with final drive transformed the car. Granted the audi box on smaller wheels needed taller gearing for a road car but lsd even in atb flavour meant I could use the power

Plate locking lsd prob give ultimate grip but needs to be right ramp angles and just more to try amd get right. Atb seems to give 90% with no maintenance

Lol, me too. Just waiting on Mark G to get me a price from his gearbox mate, quaife themselves quote £225 + VAT to fit which seems steep to me.

I am not endorsed by Quaife but I think I am qualified to say if you are using superglue to fit the diff you are doing it wrong
