Hi. Has anyone got experience on day insurance? I need to mot my other car so I can take the clio off the road for winter. Ince mot'd I will swap insurance but dont want to until the end of the month. Any advice as I know a number of people have multiple cars

Day insurance?
Surely you insure all-year-around?

I think it's ok to drive back/forth to MOT station without tax, so that's the only thing I would comfortable ditching.

Maybe I'd look at a more basic insurance package for insurance if the storage plans were >12 months.

I guess you'll need to speak to a broker / insurance firm direct.

If you have no insurance at the moment - what would happen in the event of it being stolen or damaged whilst parked up? In my mind, that's dodgy ground...

Another alternative is that you have your Vee recovered to the MOT station... you should be covered by the liability insurance of the recovery firm and MOT station.

: )

I used it to move a car from one workshop to another across Warwick. At about £30 it was expensive for a day, but cheaper and easier than putting the landrover back on the road to tow it. It doesn't usually cover any mods to cars.

Im taking the other car for an mot and will swap more permanently at the end of the month. It is the day for mot that is causing me the problem
