CONVERT A GORDINI TURBO ENGINE INTO ATMO ENGINE

I'm right to belive that if a grab a gordini turbo engine, replace the piston & liners and cam, it will become a atmo engine? can anybody shine a light to this delemma, as I am trying to build a Atmo but dont have a engine just parts of one and quite a few turbo engines....... HELP!!!!

liners are the same.
the head of a turbo is a bit stronger, but actually they are the same.

Take care about the flywheel, dia of the clutch and the timing tooth. (dont know exactly when, but sometimes there are diffs)

Tickness of headgasket could be different.

sometimes you need to add or remove a bush at the end of the camshaft. To shim out the v-belt pully.

The Atmo means the air that is used/breathed by the engine is at atmospheric pressure and the Gordini turbo breaths compressed air from a turbo.

yes it is, because i put a 1.1 head on a 1.4 gordini turbo bottom end.
the only potential issue i can think of is that if the normal 1.4 crank, has got a single chain or a double chain, and if the gordini atmo cam uses a single or double chain....
id be inclined to use single sprockets on both.

Prob a bit late posting this now, but godini turbo cam has different cam lobes to the gordini, these have a less bevelled edge on them, due to one being a normal aspirated engine and the other having a turbo, the latter's engine having to respond a lot quicker when the turbo kicks in! That aside i do have a spare atmo (gordini) cam, block and pistons has covered,80,000 thousand miles tho, but cam is unblemished, pistons a bit rusty on the top!

Engine
