Also hope that you took pleasure to drive on this beautiful racetrack, especially V62HOT who enjoyed the grass (no damage it is the most important)

Uh oh. Nas mate what did I tell you about doing your hair whilst on a racetrack? Haha

It was a magic weekend and a great joy to be with you on this event :approve: ;)

Just for next time i will train my "speaking english"....... It had been a long time since I had spoken english : it's easier to write on my computer

Hello has all,
I hope that you returned well, all the team of the association Clio V6 Passion liked has to thank you for your participation, we crossed(spent) a magnificent day and your presence was a pure happiness.
I hope that we shall have the opportunity to run(drive) together, thank you still for your efforts and has in very fast .........

David .

it was fantastic....

better that all the uk meets hands down.....better than them all put together in my opinion.

i'd give all our meets up to go to the meet again...

lunch. gifts. tracktime. profesional photos. and yes. trophy race cars for us to have a go in. meguane r26r's to go for a blast in. 172 cup racer to go in too. famous people to mingle with..
ragnotti was signing cars on saturday. we had a guided pit walk in the WRS around the cars and we stood on the pit wall more or less to watch the F1 display.. had a look around the meguane trophy cars.

after the weekend we headed to le mans where we went to the le mans museum. full of famous cars. drove parts of the circuit. hotel overlooking the circuit.

all in all it was a great trip.
only bad thing was the price of fuel..

my round trip was over 1500 miles but it was great.

we were made to feel welcome and they all loved the cars. big thanks to the organisers behind it all [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

Well, tired and emotional here.
just like to say thanks to those who committed time, money, paintwork and mileage on their cars to coming on this trip  and for doing a great job to make life easy for me leading you all and keeping the car cleaning for the midnight hours rather than at every little stop on the way ;) Sales of Maksing tape in France have just gone through the roof!
Spare a thought though for our other member Dave, (hurry up) who after travelling all that way, had his car let him down with a fuel leak and had to miss the track day altogether. Hope you and car are back safely Dave and take some consolation is that it could have been a lot worse had your fuel hose let go anywhere other than a hotel car park.
Full report on the weekend to follow, but for those who didnt come, I can assure you, you missed out on a great weekend.
Finally, thanks to all those at Cliov6 passion, who did the real organising and for making us all feel very welcome.

Mark.

ps. keep an eye on the forum here and maybe reserve the weekend on October 2nd, 3rd ;)

WOW!!!!! What a crazy, mental, brilliant, p1ss funny, entertaining, eye opening, superb weekend!!!! So many parts of it were brilliant I think all who attended would need to write pages and pages to tell.

My best bits,

The big guy with a Trophy spoiler hat.......must be the "in" thing in France.
Pulling up to a hotel and seeing nothing but vee's.....made a girl smash into a car on her moped!
The setting of Mas du Clos and the track itself......it was better than most british tracks yet privatly owned
Taking Mossy and the Clio V6 designers son sideways around the track......I prefered it in the wet ;) .........Nas didn't though!
Getting a ride in a Trophy with an absolute nutter at the wheel!!
Getting to Le Mans and driving a few parts of the track........rather quickly ;)
The evening in Le Mans itself.....was lively to say the least!!
A couple of us getting seperated from the others the same evening and being surrounded by people going crazy over the vee's.
THE TUNNELS!!!!
The look on Stevo's face when the bloke at customs pulled out a rubber glove [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

To be honest there were loads and loads of other highlights too. I will post up as many pics as i can soon.

I don't really know where to start with what to say or who to thank first!! Such a fantastic trip!!! I meant to post up a few words last night, but fell asleep I was so shattered. Woke up this morning at just gone 5.00 on the sofa with my head on the lap top... with a flat battery LOL..
Will post up tonight, but for now.. Having a cup of tea in our site hut, just a massive heart felt thanks to everyone that came along and to Mark for his fine organising and to Ben, Vincent and all the v6 Passion guys for making us feel so welcome and giving us some real VIP treatment!! I'd like to just add what an honour and a pleasure it was to meet Axel and his son. To know you still have such a passion for these cars and to share your tales of the v6's development was truly fantastic, thank you, and look forward to seeing you again soon!

More to follow :)

Got back at 11:30 last night with my mind on fire ...

I echo all that has been said so well, but will post further later in some of my words ...

There are many highlights, but as shaun says being able to share long stories and anecdotes with Axel about the vee development and views at the time, aswell as things since was an unexpected pleasure ... and to see the vee prototype (in black) and two development cars, one owned by Stephen, was also not to be missed ...

So many things, and the cliov6passion forum is rippling with reports too :)

The organisation was brilliant from Mark looking after us to the v6passion team for having the vision and pulling it off ...

Noone will forget seeing 60 or so vees together and doing a parade lap either !

Martin

WOW is all i can say, what an excellent weekend!!!

BUT This trip would not have been possible without the mammoth task of all the orgainisation and therefore a MASSIVE thanks to Mark Garner and the V6 passion for making us feel very, very welcome and making it a very special weekened indeed!!

Got back last night at midnight, had to have an hour in the services though, nearly did a Dellboy!! ;)

Highlights include:

3 laps of Mas Du Clos in a V6 Trophy at warp factor nine
Viewing 60 vees and 5 original V6 Trophy in one place.
Meeting Mr Ragnotti and getting his autograph (thanks Shaun :approve: )
Driving part of the Le Mans circuit.
Meeting Axle - the man that designed the vee.
Viewing the original prototype Mk 1.
Stephen Dell for bring the prototype Mk2 along.
Masking tape graffiti.
Sideway's action in a vee courtesy of Brett :)
Mr Tibbs for his biblybong pills ;)
Nasman for being an absolute nutter.
Midnight jet wash runs.

Plus a lot, lot more.

So all i can say it was worth all the petrol, a set of rear tyres, money, paint from my front bumper and one of my wheels, oh and nearly my marriage LOL!!!

Roll on the next one is all i can say

dont forget all our free gifts we got for going...

nas hope you got home ok... sorry lost you at the tunnel last night dude.... it was wickid through the tunnel

thanks for all your comments [smilie=thanks.gif] ;) :approve:

I'm very glad that you enjoyed all your long long trip, hope to see you again, in France.....or why not in UK [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

THIS WAS BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ORGANISED IT! Just a minor correction Brett I absolutely loved the wet, it was my tyres which didnt hence the two offs. I took my brave pill. I didnt just find the limit ...... I went beyond it! Unlike FCS I loved every second of both my track sessions hence why I did a forty minute second session none stop in the wet and only pulled in to get a ride in the trophy before 5pm. The circuit was awesome!! I implored everyone to come to this event and I wish you all had cos it was the most unique event ever and it will always live forever in the memory. What everyone has written I echo all their sentiments and thank you Ben, Vincent and and big boy ;) You all did an amazing job words cant thank you enough. Likewise Mark again I cant thank you enough for organising it at the British side. It was a pleasure to initially meet Axel's wife (and daughter) and we had a long chat about Axel, the V6, family life and it was a fascinating insight into it all. And Axel you have my business card!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I am THE PHARMACIST!! What were the odds of me parking next to you??????? Thank you from the bottom of my heart for designing the vee cos none of this would have been possible otherwise and thank you for signing my vee. Nicolae (Axel's son) you were fantastic to all of us the whole day I am glad you enjoyed your trip across the greenfields! I will do a proper write up eventually. And thank you to the whole group and loved the practical jokes and general banter and you are all like a second family to me now:) Brett, Stevo will the adulation we had leaving Le Mans ever be beaten?
Mr Tibbs I love your sense of humour BIBBLYBONG PILLS DO EXIST!, Mark you are just a top bloke I would have loved to have gone with you on those morning walks if I had known about them next time dude:) , Mr Dell I have never laughed so much at a dinner table another top bloke, Stevo and missus I wish I was as laid back as you both :) , Mossy again amazing fella too nice to me and thank Carmen for the lend of the iron, Shaun again another super fella always helping me out, Dave you cracked me up at the dinner table on Sat night and I hope you got home ok, Brett you are just too good to me and thanks for helping sort my car out along with all the others cracking team effort, Blake for sacrificing himself for group shots, Phil the vee Annika Rice style treasure hunt was a bit touch and go at the end!, and last but not least my fellow black/gold vee driver Martin another amazing person I am so glad you came cos I wouldnt have Ragnotti's signature otherwise and again just generally loooking out for me and superb to talk to. Also now I can see how my vee looks to others! Thank you.
You are all fanatastic people and spending so much time with you all you learn a lot about each other and it was something special we all shared and no doubt I will smile at many a memory triggered by pics, looking at my vee or seeing masking tape in a supermarket!! Take care all, safe driving and Monthielery Oct 3rd cant wait!
Ps 1697 pics!!
