Changing Spark plugs

Parts Required:

  • Spark Plugs: BOSCH FGR 7 MQPE
  • Gap: (not adjustable)
  • Tightening Torque: 2.5 to 3 daNm

Tools Needed:

  • 8mm socket with ratchet and a 4–6 inch extension bar
  • Knuckle (a piece that fits the socket and allows it to be used at an angle)
  • Tip: To avoid losing the bolt, place a bit of blue tack or some masking tape (sticky side out) into the hole of the socket. This will hold the bolt so it doesn’t drop into hard-to-reach places.
  • Carefully pull the coil upwards to remove it from the plug, then push the coil to the side until the plug is exposed.
  • You will need a 10mm plug socket, a 6–10 inch extension bar, a ratchet, and a knuckle. I'll post a picture of the knuckle for those who aren’t familiar with it.
  • Remove the old plug and replace it with a new Bosch Super Four. Then, refit the coil.
  • Be sure not to over-tighten the bolt or plug. This should be done with a cold engine.

Hope this helps!
Martin
