Megane Brake Pad Choice

Was all set to order DS2500 front pads when I read that some people are having problems with them. Someone recommended Pagid RS29 pads for occasional trackdays and everyday driving. Has anyone used these pads, comparison between the 2 pads mentioned?

Its all a trade off - the squeel is very audible at 30mph and below, but they require no temperature at all to work, so means they are very well suited for the road.

and they seem to last for ages - my last set had 30% life when they came off, and that was 14 hours or so of tracktime and a lot of road miles in between.

I think George quotes about £147 for DS2500, I stand to be corrected, so the extra few quid for the ones from JJC are probably worth a go. Thumbs up @papps you are a minefield of information, very handy.

One thing I would say is that, with the DS1.11's on the front and when I ran the OEM pads on the rear, the tail is a little waggy under hard braking, nothing major, but its a noticeable increase to the car's stability when I stuck the DS2500 rear pads on.

IIRC is was BTCC man Josh Cook who first suggested and tried this DS1.11/Ds2500 combo on his race megane.

The fact that the mk2 megane calipers are the same as the mk3 clio ones, and the fact that the DS1.11 was the control pad for the Clio Cup cars has meant the Fedoro range in our calliper fitments seems great value, must be due to volumes.

CL pads on the other hand, are really expensive on the Mk2, but the Mk3 megane they are cheaper than the fedoro pads - funny how it works like that
