Other ( non boosted Renault ) Brake Id Please for Renault 5 Bye Bye

Hello everybody,
I have a 1996 1.4 Renault 5 that has failed its MOT on rear brake balance and since I cannot find a brake pressure regulator on the bake axle I was wondering if its been fitted with later type brake cylinders that incorporate the pressure regulator.
I am not sure if they are Bendix or Girling but the cylinder has Bosch 20 stamped on it. They are drums by the way

I have a photo so any help in identifying them would be most welcome

Did you adjust the shoes ? Poorly adjusted shoes can affect balance massively on drums

Thanks for the reply yes I did adjust the shoes but going to do it again as still didn't pass on retest.

Can anyone please verify if these are Girling or Bendix the thumbnails do open up if you click on them for a better view

I removed the wheel cylinders the nearside is stamped 871 and the offside is stamped 187 hope this of help to other members see pics

and its stamped bosch? im confused what type of braking system does it have?

That's a Bendix system. Yes, those cylinders were made by Bosch, but it's a Bendix design. Same as fitted to mk1 clios and R19s.

The Lucas version is a bit different but easy to tell if you know what you're looking at. Easiest thing to look for is the shape of the bit that goes through the back plate.

Round = Bendix
Oval = Lucas/Girling.

Sorry your confused but imagine how I felt LOL!! especially as according to the Haynes the springs and self adjusters match the girling diagram
