Firstly...Happy New Year fellow Vee owners......
After spending over 5 hours "de-Christmasing" the house today (taking down the tree/decs etc.,) and still in the mood for spring cleaning, I decided to wash my very filthy Vee.....and trust me, he was proper dirty...and grumpy cause I'd not washed him for above 2 weeks
2 Days ago, I had another 2 coils go on the car (6 in total now) and TBH, the day before the coils went, the car to me sounded 'odd' when it was ticking over, but not "coil-gone" odd. Also, temps up North here have been consistently in the minus's over the last week or so, the last 3 nights between -2 and -7 !!!! [smilie=icon_eek.gif] :s so bloody fleein....
Anyway, I filled a bucket with Autoglym bodyworks shampoo and deep-gloss shine, got my wash & drying mitts and headed for the jet wash at the bottom of the road. Washed and dryed off the Vee with a microfibre cloth and jumped in to go and hoover the insides, turned on the ignition....NOTHING [smilie=icon_eek.gif] didn't even turn over...dead as a dodo  absolutely no charge whatsoever..... [smilie=icon_eek.gif]
Half an hour later when the cavalry arrived and gave me a jump start, I left the car ticking over whilst I hoovered inside and the drove it home and parked it up....it was running perfectly fine afterwards....
So....the BIG question.....anyone else had similar issues..??? Anyone got any ideas what the issue might be..??? Do you technical folk think that the coil issue could be related to the battery/starting issue..??? Oh and BTW, on Tuesday, I did over 80 miles in the Vee driving up to the North York moors to do a walk, so it's not like he's not been anywhere to charge the battery....
Could be that he is simply being a sulky Vee for being left outside in the cold and not being washed..!!! haha!
Answers on a postcard please folks to the usual....
