Attention ALL Ph1 owners...... (Maybe a few Ph2 owners too)

For those that do not already know, one of the most critical parts of pushing your pride and joy down the road is now no longer available anywhere. The part in question being the clutch. Many may look across the interweb with many places saying available........they are not! Unfortunately the part is Clio V6 specific so is not found anywhere else in the Renault, Peugeot or Citroen range. However, all is not lost as there is a plan put ahead that will offer owners the option of a refurbished Genuine RenaultSport item with a choice of of friction compounds. These will be either a stage 1 compound or a Stage 2 upgrade for those who want consistent bite under harsher than normal driving conditions.
Cars effected are obviously Ph1s but I'm guessing Ph2 owners that have the TTV lightweight flywheel may also be effected.

If anyone has an old item laying around or your car has or is in a garage and the clutch is laying on the floor please don't discard it. The more worn out plates we can get our hands on, the quicker the turn around will be with said item. Idea being the clutch will be an off the shelf item once again. Again, this is for the benefit of this small community and should take away the stress of replacement in the future.

Please pm me or call me if you can help.

Alternatively I can work with TTV to make a bespoke flywheel to fit a standard-issue clutch, I have made a few flywheels for the 21 that uses an off-the-shelf cover plate with replaceable friction surface, and a refurbishable friction plate. This also means you get a choice of torque capacities and friction media (Organic, cerametallic, sintered) or even a twin plate.
I have a 200mm single plate organic rated for 350lbft in the car at the moment and ive just had a flywheel made for a 185mm bolt pattern and that will be a twin plate organic for 500lb/ft.

Your option will be a lot cheaper though lol

Yeah that is one way of skinning the cat for sure Dave but I'm guessing many owners would prefer a simple off the shelf clutch plate exchange. Lets also not forget owners who want their cars to be 100% OEM.
I'd be careful adding much much higher torque rating clutches to a PK06 gearbox. Certainly 500lb/ft! With huge rear wheel traction and not the most robust transmission in the world the OEM clutch offers a nice safety buffer between the two.
