Aluminium Brochure Folder Wanted

 beep beep beep back up. So now they were having a clear out at the end but the previous idea was they had them at the beginning than ran out of spectacle cases and couldn't find them. ( was that it? I got confused by that assumption ;) )
Which means maybe it was just the ones in the middle that lost out.....

And how did you arrive at the majority not having them because of half a dozen people on here? I think they sold more than 10!

that's a weird "assumption" to make when my car was one of the last registered in November 2005 meaning the "surplus" was enough to until the end ;)

Something must explain why so many cars didn't have the aluminium folder, if they wern't dispensed correctly ( The wonderful Renault dealer network ???? ) then there must be loads left over to fulfill the shortfall.........Unless the dealers stole them !!??

Ed. I refer you to post [v6plaque]16[/v6plaque] and the letter which came direct from Renault UK HQ. The dealers never had them to steal !! and I'm sure they had a skip load left if they were ordered to send out to thousands of Avantime and Vel Satis customers that never materialised [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

When I bought my old phase 2 car at 1 year old in 2006 I was the third owner. Owner number 2, who knew owner number 1, said it had had an alloy folder but didn’t know where it was. He said he’d let me know if he found it but never did. At the time I tried to source one but was unable too.

I stand corrected, GPH.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t even get the plastic wallet. My tracker stuff came in a tatty brown A5 envelope. 1 previous owner - Renault UK. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

how about.... "I don't care" I've told you what I remember. Sending info packs to customers wasn't my job. You can make up as many theories as you like ;)

Just making the point that not all cars came with the aluminium folder as there seemed to be some suggestion that they should have :)

How about this then... 'Some' cars should've come with Aluminium folders, and 'some' shouldn't.

What does seem clear from this thread is that human error and/or less than attentive customer care and attention for v6's didn't just end at some randomly placed plaque numbers (or non at all).. [smilie=icon_eek.gif] Nice if you have them... but certainly no deal breaker to any future owner. Each car has its own story to tell.. :)

Mine is a shouldn't as the cars 'without' are much faster, unless of course those 'with' leave the heavy shiny aluminium folder at home, in which case the brown envelope is probably the best solution as no one will ever see which folder came with the car

So to summarise the Aluminium Folder discussion:
It appears that some Phase 1 and some Phase 2 Clio V6s came with the aluminium folder and some didn't.
It is good to have the aluminium folder but if you don't have one it doesn't really matter.
How does that sound?

Anyone will tell you the black gold cars are fastest, I have it in writing from the designer too

A Black Gold without the aluminium folder :race: I give in, there's no chance of an Illiad ever keeping up :salut:

That perfectly summarises what I've learned from this post. In the unlikely event that If I ever stumble over one, I'll remember that you're on the hunt for one.

They do come up now and again, I got one from EBay a few years ago ;)
But might be a waiting game!!!!

Which car was it from Phil..? Or had all the folder/owner specific literature been removed? To my knowledge, it’s different to that in the plastic wallet.

Here we go again..
