Happened before has it Iain? The trouble is they are such special cars they are hard to let go. It's such fun to drive, and after the 2nd owner spent 4 years polishing it just about every weekend, it only takes a quick wash to look like new again.
I probably won't be advertising it to the wider world, but just enjoy using it occasionally.
