Aluminium Brochure Folder Wanted

Crimson Dynamo

New Member
When I bought my Phase 2 nearly 5 years ago it was complete apart from the aluminium checker plate document holder that it had when new. I then saw one when inspecting the IB Phase 2 No. 345 in Wales and to be honest it was the only good thing about that vehicle!

I'd now like to get one for my Clio so if anybody has a spare they are willing sell can you contact me on 0779 144 7559

Thanks,

Jon

That is interesting. No 345 definitely had one. Anyone else got any idea?

Hey Jonathan,

Definitely a ph2 thing too. I have one with the Lunar, which includes the welcome brochure to the original owner stating the colour, VIN number, registration number etc of the car.. as it should.

Matt found the pack for the Moonlight Blue car on eBay if I recall correctly.

I wonder how many cars still have this with them..?

I have 349, a Liquid Yellow Phase 2 and one of the last, and that definitely didn't have the aluminium holder when new. My Phase 1 car did, and has!

I would guess that a few cases were left over, and some cars got them and others didn't, especially towards the end of production. The ally cases were just a UK item weren't they?

So ideally I should probably attempt to contact the previous owners and see if they know anything about the aluminium folder for my car as a spare one looks like it might be difficult to find

Not wishing to inappropriately post in the wanted section, but I'm one of those special customers that seemingly didn't receive one on delivery, no biggie. I'm therefore wondering how common it would have been for Phase 1 customers to receive them.

Good luck with the hunt!

Lol. You guess wrong then;) the folder was supplied centrally by Renault UK to contain Uk specific information like the Tracker details to all customers when the supplying dealer provided their information. My Ph2 still has its folder and letter addressed to the original owner even though I am owner number 7 because the previous owners were all careful :)

Are you telling us that no folder means the supplying dealer stole it !!!! Because if so i'm pretty pissed

They would've been sent out to new owners in the post, as far as i'm aware... Im sure GPH will be able to tell us for sure.

Each pack included a personalised letter to the owner including details of their individual car sent by Renault head office direct.......upon receipt of the customers details. So I guess some dealers didn't do the last bit correctly.

If I remember correctly they may also have been sent to Vel Satis and Avantime customers for top of the range cars.

Guess Renault didn't write themselves a personalised letter and present themselves with an aluminium case for the Vees that were first registered to them? :)
