Adey's 986 Porsche Boxster

"Aye, I've just been down the Shell garage to stick two quarters of a tank in"

😢 😭 🤣

I think you've made a cool choice with it tbh and your comments about the folk who come out with the "poor man's Porsche" patter are bang on. Its something I've never really considered either.... and now I've found myself having a little ebay search fest!

1)Is that your dildo propping the bonnet up?

2)Anyone taking pictures of their car at a petrol pump should be kicked in the balls immediately rofl.gif Not from a safety aspect, from the aspect of being a complete wanker rofl.gif

1) Bit small for me that one. Its my bonnet prop as the struts have gone a little weak, another small item to sort out.

2) im defo one of them too :D

Started getting deliveries with basic service items and a few upgrades. Oil and Fuel filters here, delivery of 9ltrs of oil should be here tomorrow from Opie oils. From 911design I have some new black floor mats to replace my pink ones, K&N drop in filter, H&R springs to take 30mm off the ride height and an underdrive pulley and belt which, so say, lessens the drag on the engine by spinning the auxiliary parts slower. I still want to get a pair of decat pipes but will get the car through its MOT before fitting most of the parts.

I've still being daily driving it, its gotten a little hairy a few times, it comes around on you very quickly when it starts to let go so requires a fair bit of concentration in this weather.

More updates soon

Just needs a set of 135 or 145 wide snow tyres and it would be much better. Dave Wheeler had snow tyres for his 4 CV which he said was unbeatable in the snow. It would run out of steering before running out of traction.

Booked in for it's MOT tomorrow so a quick once over of the lights to make sure they all work, a wipe down and a fresh set of mats thrown in. Opted for black items to tone it down a little in there. I love the terracotta but black mats take the "in your face" edge off a little. It's getting 2 new rear tyres at the same time as the current ones, even though they have loads of tread are showing their age a little with some crazing on the side walls. Fingers crossed nowt major crops up and the mods can begin.

MOT done, 2 yokohama advan sport 105v fitted up which will be interesting to try out as they seemed to come rated the same as some bigger budget tyres in the reviews. Minor for a chip in the windscreen, it was old and peppered anyway so needed changing out. Picked up the chip a week or so back so already had a new screen fitting booked in for Thursday. Advisories for a manifold bolt missing causing a slight blow and a slightly worn rear ball joint. All in all not bad for a 25 year old car (y) Hopefully during the time off at Christmas I can get a few things done and enjoy it a bit come the new year :D

Windscreen in and WOW its surprising how bad the old screen was. Can see things with loads of clarity, like wearing glasses for the first time!

Decat pipes arrived yesterday too so got a fair bit i want to fit over the Christmas break, not sure i will get to all if any of it though.
