hi , yesterday i spent all day searching the net for a decent quote . im 35, 6 years no claims , garaged tracker 5000 miles per year , got a £459 from kwik fit insurance but with a £1120 excess , so went with the rac on a £420 excess , quoted £620 , that was until i put me mother on as a named driver aged 54 , dropped the quote by over £100 to £501.. and the thing is, the chances of me ever handin her the keys are .............zilch , unlucky mother ! but cheers all the same ...

ive done this before on my pulsar gtir also a group 20 bugger to insure dropped the quote on that policy also give it a go

Have done the same but with the old man...I also had a GTIR before the vee. Most places i rang wouldn't insure the GTIR unless you were 30!

Yep, put my missus on and the same thing happened.

She always had her dad named on her policy for te same reasons, but when he hit sixty at premiums went up!
