thanks. i found that pic before and some of the piping doesn't make any sense and the bits i need to see are not visable. i.e behind the inlet maniford and generally underneath the main pipework. tall order i know.

my haynes manuals have tiny pictures in black and white about the size of a postage stamp printed on something akin to tesco value bog roll :D

yeah haynes isnt great. tells you just about nothing you didnt already know or couldnt figure out for yourself lol

well there are some small pipe connectors coming off the carb which a cant find a use for, and the upper pipe off the inlet elbow, and i dunno why the actuator has 2 connectors as one of them doesnt't seem to do anything. it runs well now, starts on the key and the turbo, actuator, dump valve etc are all working correctly although once its drivable the boost will need setting. also there is a coolant pipe on the n/s of the inlet manifold.....or rather should be. the coolant pipes situation is a real headache, never known a car with so many of em. need to have a look under a bonnet n draw some diagrams really lol.

ther other on the actuator should go to the carb where the pipe from the exhaust elbow also goes, this basically alters the 'atmo' pressure depending on exhaust backpressure.

if you can get a pic or be more specific I can outline it.

I've always thought the engine bay on the 5 GTT is absolutely horrific.

I'd hate to try a plugs and leads change on it!

cheers chris much appreciated its a bloody disaster! be ok if i'd took it apart lol. plugs n leads is easy, its the coolant pipes are the worst! water pump alone has 4 or 5 hoses comin off it!

good shout! i took some pics of my spare carb i got at work today, jus gotta get them on here off my phone and i'll show ya. that go in the project section then?

here are the pipes in a little stuck on.....and my giraffes lol

well there would be if i could upload them!!!!! how?
