21 turbo gearbox from phase 1

Hi all, Its been years since i have been on here, unfortunatly no longer a owner of a 21 now but still have a few things kicking about,

I have a gearbox (UN1?) from a phase 1 oviously 2WD, This box came spare with my first ever 21turbo, I have never had it in a car so i cannot say if its in great working order, I was told when i bought the car along with many spares that it was removed from a spare doner car that he had. It has been sat in the corner of my garage for about 6 years. Any sensible offers considered, I know how much these go for second hand but im unable to prove the condition of this box. Sold as spares or repairs if you like!!!!!

Hi all loads of intertest in this but everyone offering me ?20 - ?30, We all know that they are worth more than that, so ill say im looking for near ?100 just to get everyone on the right track. It will go on ebay then if no one is intereste on here. Cheers Dan

Largely because you advertised it as 'Sold as spares or repairs' - I bought a Spares or Repairs UN1 6 weeks ago for the sum of GRATIS/FREE/NIL, Ive also paid ?60 for a working one with no history in the past and ?50 for one sat in a garage for 8 years.

This isnt me telling you off or making out you're being greedy, not by any means. I'm simply saying ur initial sales pitch said 'Spares or repair'

A knowingly good box currently sells for somewhere between ?100-?150. I've just re-entered the 21 fold and paid ?150 for one from a car Ive seen move.

Ive got two, and paid ?150 for the spare on a separate occasion, and with known good condition.

For a box that needed work, or with an unknown condition (you will also know what the spares are like for these boxes then...) you will understand the hesitance to offer full price.

Incidentally, i was going to punt at ?40 when you first posted, but i dont have the space now that i have two engines, and boxes already.

ETA: Also, youre not even sure its a UN1??

Not really. It could have been a good box, but for those (us) that already have them its not worth the risk. For someone that doesnt, maybe it was worth the risk....
