You looked at the costs to Fly to Frankfurt Hahn from Stansted with Ryanair? Millie is doing that to meet up with me.

Ferry is cheaper but the chunnel is waaaaay faster and that counts for a lot on a 500 mile drive (for me anyway)....
The hotel the initial takers booked is the Blau Ecke in Adenau but I think thats full now. You should be able to find something else close by though I remember driving past the Blau Ecke and there was quite a few hotels in the vicinity. There's a restaurant across the road called Pinnochio's that serves the most spectacular pizza and had an ultra-smoking-hot waitress....

We had this Hotel last week: http://www.onroad-cafe.de/indexen.html not expensive, nice people and about 10-15 min drive to the ring entrance. (about 2km from Adenau)

Loads of Binatone MR200, MR250 and MR300 all over eBay, i'll grab a couple too and anyone else that wants one should buy one
