5 GT Turbo 15 years in the waiting my Renault 5GT Turbo build

Didn't turn out too bad that did it, certainly better than the old one. I did an intercooler bracket for my R9 in a similar fashion - bit of a chimera of new and old parts lol

I'm glad you showed me them photos as my car never had that mounting bracket the aluminium intercooler was just strapped in place in the old car just another thing to make lol
This is on my Renault 9 Turbo, not a 5GT....I dont recall if the 5 had one like this?

No that's R9/11 Specific.

Pinching @Alastair 's lovely photo of his freshly powdercoated parts, the Intercooler Bracket on a 5 is the part ringed below:

One bolt hole is for the front cross-member, one bolt hole is for the passenger side chassis rail.

It's sad that me and quite a few members of this club could identify where all those parts go on the car....

I'm trying to find a sample to replicate but nobody wants to donate one for copying.

@DaveL485 you can have mine but prob a good 6-8 weeks until I build up nuggets to cut out and time to be ready

Having had to finish restoration of house works myself after sending workers home with COVID-19 woes def not planned and work even more manic than normal......oh and 3 young boys off school lol
